Okay, not so much an oddity as much as a prototype, but it still is odd looking and this thing began the StuG Life, which is why I've kept it. Based on the Panzer III Ausf.B chassis, the five "Test Series" StuG III's were ready by December 1937 and served as late as 1941 as training tanks as part of Panzer Regiment 1 in Erfurt. Obviously they were liked well enough and a production number was ordered, but modified to include the more modern and capable Panzer III Ausf.F chassis.
The tank featured at most 14.5mm of armor at the thickest point, a crew of 4-5, and the short-barreled 7.5cm StuK 37, L/24 gun that would be found on all later StuG models until Ausf.F.

Si sono diversi.Ora me ne intendo poco,ma ho letto che i tedeschi presero non sò quale mod di semovente e lo hanno usato loro con il nome Stug.
Ovviamente non mi ricordo di preciso il nome.
